A Thoughtful Approach to Veterinary Care

Dr Eleanor Tuffley has been part of the Dural Veterinary Hospital team for over ten years and is an experienced small animal veterinarian with a strong interest in general medicine and behavioural care.

She particularly enjoys helping owners understand behavioural concerns in their pets. Behaviour problems can be frustrating and confusing for families, and Eleanor takes a thoughtful approach to exploring the underlying causes. By considering the pet’s health, environment and daily routine, she works with owners to develop practical strategies that support both pets and their families.

Clinical Experience

Eleanor has worked in veterinary practices in both Australia and the United Kingdom, gaining broad experience in small animal medicine and surgery. She enjoys the variety of general veterinary practice, from diagnosing and managing medical conditions to supporting pets through different stages of life.

Her interest in behaviour complements her medical work, as changes in behaviour can sometimes be linked to underlying health issues. By combining careful medical assessment with behaviour management strategies, Eleanor helps ensure pets receive a well-rounded and thoughtful approach to care.

At Home in the Hills

Eleanor lives locally with her husband and their three children. Outside of work she enjoys spending time outdoors, including mountain biking, golf and hiking.

She is also actively involved in dog agility with her two Mini Fox Terriers, and at home she is often found cuddling her much-loved cat, Strudel.
